I run four times per week , 2 times jogging , one interval(5x1000m at 3:30 3:40 min per km) and one long run (about 16-18 km). I am focucing at 10k races.
I am planing to add cross traning ,actually swimming 3 times a week.
Is ok for the muscles if i do same day interval or long run and swimming and after only one day rest?
Or if do one day running and the next day swimming and the next again running etc for the whole week with having a rest day?
I dont know if this is good for the muscles,mazbe there is no problem because the running and the swimming are using different type of muscles?
What from those two options is better for the muscles to get rest?
